Prince Harry’s memoir contained several shocking revelations, including details about losing his virginity to an older woman and physical altercations with his brother, Prince William, over his relationship with Meghan Markle.
According to YouGov data cited by Newsweek, Harry, who relinquished his official royal role in 2020 along with Meghan Markle, garnered the favor of 48 percent of Americans in the second quarter of this calendar year, while 24 percent expressed disapproval.
This resulted in a net approval rating of +24 for the exiled prince.
Prince William, on the other hand, was liked by 43 percent of the survey participants but received a cold response from 21 percent, resulting in a net rating of +22.
Kate Middleton, however, performed better than her husband and brother-in-law, as she received a 46 percent approval rating with only 11 percent expressing disapproval. This gave her a net rating of +35.
Bad news for Meghan
In contrast, Meghan received the least favorable response, with only 40 percent of her home country expressing positive sentiments towards the former actress.
A significant 23 percent gave negative reviews, leading to a modest net rating of +17.
The poll data is based on approximately 1,500 interviews conducted between April and June.
These findings provide a boost for Prince Harry, whose popularity had reportedly declined following the release of his memoir “Spare” in January, as reported by Newsweek.
